The movie revolves around Ram Prasad Sharma (Shahrukh Khan), a charming and carefree young man who lives in London. Ram's father, Ramesh Sharma (Sanjivani), and mother, Kamla Sharma (Sushma Swaraj), got separated when Ram was just a child. Despite the distance, Ram shares a strong bond with his father, who is now married to a British woman, Anuradha (Maya Sarap).
